New to School of the Legends? Take the tour

School of the Legends is destination football baby! It’s where almost 2,000 players exist on one domain. It’s also the only place where you can TALK, TRAIN, WATCH and SHOP with this many football players anywhere on the Internet!

The sign up box is in the TOP RIGHT-HAND corner of the HOME PAGE. Click on the word sign up and a box will drop down and you can either sign up as a FAN or an NFL Player from here. You will be guided through the sign up process from that point out.

Depending on your level of involvement in the game, we have an account type for you. We have customized the site experience based on whether you are a FAN, COACH or an ATHLETE. You will get to make this decision as the first step of our sign up process.

When you go to LOGIN in the TOP RIGHT-HAND corner of the HOMEPAGE, there is a link under the PASSWORD field that takes you through how to reset your password.

Changing your information is simple! If you are logged in to the site, you will see the the MY ACCOUNT button, click on it then EDIT then highlight USERNAME or PASSWORD and follow the instructions on the page you are presented with.

YES, in SOTL 2.0 we have given you the ability to only share info with whom you want to. Your friends will always see your complete profile however you can opt to show only our TEASER VIEW to friends of friends and everyone else. This view shows only your photo, name, hometown and favorite teams.

There is only one reason that his looks better than yours – and that is if he is a premium fan! Go premium and get the cool background and other cool features.

Your personal profile url will be www.schoolofthelegends.com/YOURUSERNAME you forward your profile via twitter or email, our link SO.TL link shortener will condense your URL to 12 characters.

As soon as you complete the first step of the process, you will be immediately greeted with a page that offers you your first chance to link your FACEBOOK and TWITTER to your SOTL account. If you skip that step you can still link either by clicking on FACEBOOK and TWITTER in the SHARE SECTION of the quick link footer.

You can add a friend from anywhere on that persons profile. If you are not friends with someone whether they share all their info or just a teaser view – an ADD FRIEND button appears over their profile picture. Click this and wait for them to ACCEPT YOUR REQUEST, you can add a message to the friend request should you wish to.

Of course, we would love you to! Go to the quick link footer to the SHARE section and click on REFER A FRIEND! It’ll bring up a page that will guide your through reaching out to your friends in email and via your facebook account!!

NO, unfortunately you can’t block a user. It’s always a shame when someone ruins it for the rest of us. But, If you see a user that is a friend that is posting inappropriately, you should just delete them from your friends list on your profile wall and you will no longer see comments or posts from them. Should you not want to delete the friend you can always simply DELETE the post if it is on your WALL and let them know. Unfortunately no one can control the content in the SITE FEED.

We’re unhappy that you’re even asking this question… but respect the fact that there could be many reasons that you would need to delete your account. From the MY ACCOUNT button on the HOME PAGE, click on Account. That will bring up a menu that will read USERNAME, PASSWORD and DEACTIVATE. Click on DEACTIVATE and follow the steps! Be sure to let us know why you are leaving.

Ah, good an easy one! Simply go to the ABOUT section on the quick-link footer and click on the ABOUT US section. CONTACT US has an email form as well as a directory of names and numbers to be sure that you get to the right department to help you with whatever you need. We’re here to help! If you’re trying to reach us outside of business hours, leave a message and we will get back to you at the beginning of the next business day.

School of the Legends is constantly growing and offers a wide array of positions within the fields of Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Legend Relations and Technology & Design. Your 2 Team pages can be accessed from the left navigation under the TALK section. Click on TALK and the menu will slide out. If you are a premium member of the site, you will see TEAMS under the GROUP, click on it to reveal you’re the links to the pages.

This is a common questions and this is most likely the answer! You may not have filled in your team favorites when building your profile. Go to MY ACCOUNT, select FAVORITES and ensure that your FAVORITE TEAMS have been entered.

I love the simple questions! GO PREMIUM. On your FREE profile you will see a GO PREMIUM button on the under the vicinity of the sign up/login buttons – Click that and be guided through the steps to TEAM Shangri La! You won’t just get a logo, you’ll get access like no other! Well, you’ll get the same access as all other PREMIUM fans but ya know what I mean!

If you have more than 2 Favorite teams, then you are way too insane of a fan for us! Come on…seriously - how can you keep up with more than two? Coming soon we will be adding GAME PAGES, similar to TEAMS, you will be able to see side-by-side comparisons of all the teams. We’re hoping to launch this for the PLAYOFFS…we’ll see what happens!

If you are in fact a premium user, you will see a DOWNLOADS menu option in the MY ACCOUNT menu. It is close to the bottom in-between MY TEAMS and ORDER HISTORY. You will be able to download any two of the WALLPAPERS from the 64 offered.

The SITE FEED is a list of posts by all users and it can’t be edited, it displays all original posts by ALL FANS and ALL LEGENDS that have profiles on SOTL. Your personal feed “MY FEED” is the same list of original posts but only populated by the LEGENDS & FRIENDS that you have added.

Go to your profile WALL, type into the large white box and hit POST! It’s that simple.

There are a couple of places that you can do this from. The most obvious of which is in the EDIT PROFILE section under the MY ACCOUNT menu. When you click on EDIT PROFILE, you will see PERSONAL, click on this and you will be presented with the page of the site where you edit and/or upload a new PROFILE PIC.

There are two ways that you can upload a video, the POST box has to a mechanism by way of using the PHOTO/VIDEO Icons. Click on either of those and you will be presented with a pop up box that guides you through adding your selection. The other is adding a photos and videos to your profile libraries. These pages are found on your profile in the menu that runs underneath the header section that includes your profile pic and basic information. Click on photos and videos tabs and click on the UPLOAD A PHOTO or UPLOAD A VIDEO and be guided through the process.

Managing your folders is made easy by simply “dragging and dropping” media between folders and the main viewing area should you not want to keep it in a folder. All users have a PROFILE PICTURE and MOBILE UPLOADS folders. The rest are user generated by simply using the CREATE NEW FOLDER and UPLOAD buttons.

You can only write on someone’s WALL if you are friends with them. When you click on a friends name or profile picture you will be taken to their WALL, type into the large white box and hit POST! It’s that simple. If you are not their friend you can still send them a message or add them by clicking on the ADD FRIEND or SEND MESSAGE buttons.

You can send anyone on the site a private message. Whether you are friends with them or not - you just click on the SEND MESSAGE (envelope icon) under their PROFILE PICTURE and write your message.

These are NOTIFICATIONS. What they are telling you is that there is something new in this section. For example if there is (#) next to MESSAGES, it’s telling you that you have that many NEW MESSAGES. If you see (#) next to FRIENDS, it’s telling you that you have that many NEW FRIEND REQUESTS etc.

Email preferences can be changed by simply going to EDIT PROFILE and then clicking on PREFERENCES in the menu, this will bring up the page that you filled out in your profile builder and you can the types of emails you receive as well as the email notification that you receive from the Legends, your friends and the groups that you belong to.

Go to either the LEGENDS and/or FRIENDS tab, next to each of these and you will see a delete button. Just click on this to remove this friend association.

You can EDIT anything that YOU create on the site, whether it is a post and/or comment on the site.

You can avoid them from ever seeing your wall by making your profile A TEASER VIEW for everyone except for your friends. They will only be able to see your information IF you accept any friend request attempts from them. You can simply ignore their request as soon as they have made it the first time and you won’t see it appear again and it will not show in your notifications.

Every post and/or comment on your wall will be able to be DELETED. Look for the word DELETE under the post to the right. It is by the LOVE IT, HATE IT and EDIT links.

As soon as you purchase TRAINING for the first time, additional features and controls are added to the left side NAVIGATION under the TRAINING tab. An option named MY TRAINING now appears (under SELECT POSITION) and when you click on this your purchased classes drop down from that menu. If you have more than 6 purchased classes (IF YOU’D PURCHASED ALL ACCESS for example) then you will use the arrows on either side of the position selector to see more. Clicking on any of the buttons will take you to course you select. You can even select down to the class level by clicking on the class names underneath the positions button.

First off, we are sorry that you are experiencing problems with our TRAINING. We are committed to seeing that this is fixed as soon as possible. There are several potential settings on your personal computer that can effect how the training application works. We have spent considerable time ensuring that this application works with minimal processing power. It is certainly recommended that you view TRAINING in the optimal screen resolution of 1280 x 960. Check to see if your PROMO CODE has an expiration date. Did you hit the APPLY button? .f it is still valid, please contact CUSTOMER SERVICE from our contact page.

There is only one place that you can REDEEM Gift Cards and that is during the CHECKOUT process. There is a field underneath the total where you can enter the GIFT CARD number. When the number has been entered hit the APPLY button and the amount of the GIFT CARD will be applied to the purchase.

Your progress and results are completely tracked as far as: VIDEO CLASSES (watched completely) A STAR indicates complete QUIZZES A STAR indicates complete TEST/EXAM RESULTS You can see all of your progress in the side navigation by Clicking on Training, the position, then the course name (Fundamentals, Speed and Strength or Nutrition).

You need to be a PREMIUM FAN, COACH or ATHLETE in order to see this channel. You can upgrade your account be simply clicking the GO PREMIUM button on your profile.

Under the large video player, you can see several ways in which you can share this content with your friends. You can either SHARE it via Twitter and Facebook or you can EMAIL a link to the video.

Sorry about that, looks like you’ve hit a CDN outage. All of our video content is streamed into the site via a 3rd Party Streaming Service. LIMELIGHT is one of the largest CDN (content distribution network) services in the world. However from time to time they may have an outage; which means that video not work anywhere on our site. They guarantee a maximum of no more than 30 minutes downtime a month. Try again in a few minutes – they’ll be back up in a few.

Yes, certain content can be. We have an EMBED code under the SHARE function in SOCIAL SHARE TOOLBAR. You can cut and copy this into your site. However we ask that you give credit to School of the Legends as the source of the video. This only applies to SOTL generated content as we do not have rights to extend license of our premium/partner provided content outside of the site.. If there is no EMBED code shown when you hit that button, it means that we are unable to share it.

The TEAM GEAR is all still available – if you go to the STORE page, you will see a link to the SOTLGEAR.com site. Also, when you’re on the LEGENDS profiles and click on BUY MY GEAR, you will be taken to the team page on SOTLGEAR.com where you will be able to buy not only player gear but AUTHENTIC NFL TEAM gear also. SOTLGEAR.com is a separate website and requires you to create an account for first-time purchasers.

SANTA CLAUS! Just kidding. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX and DISCOVER. First call would be to the customer service number on the back of the card. If there aren’t any problems there - try again, and if it still doesn’t work we’d suggest that you try another card.

Under the MY ACCOUNT menu, there is a PURCHASE HISTORY option. There you can see your orders and click on the UPS Tracking # so see where your order is in the shipping process.

We stock sizes that we know we can move on a regular basis. We can always get larger sizes than XXL but they will require a longer lead-time to fulfill your order.

Enter your username & password on the Login Screen. Then, click Login. If you don’t remember your username or password, contact your Legend Support team at 877-770-SOTL.

On the post tab, enter your status update into the top. If you only want to post to SOTL, click on Post Update and your post will appear in the live feed & on your wall. If you want to post your status update to SOTL, Facebook & Twitter, click the Twitter & Facebook logos before clicking Post.

On the Post Update portion of the Mobile App, click on Add My Social Networks. From there, you should enter in your Facebook & Twitter Usernames & verify each of them. From then on, your accounts are linked, but you have the ability to choose which networks you post to each time you post a status update.
