I am a die hard sports fan that is full of pageantry. Regardless of the sport, I attempt to write, watch and cover it all. Like all fans, I have my favorite teams that I religiously watch. Is the Window Closing for Andre Johnson?

You don't have to be a fan of the Houston Texans to know this. In fact, if you are a fan of football this is one of those things that you except as a given in today's NFL.
Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson is one of the best players in the National Football League.
The man is a beast. For five of his nine years in the league he has gone for more than 1100 yards; in '08 and '09 he had over 1500 and 17 touchdowns. In 122 career games he has caught close to 10,000 yards and 52 touchdowns.
When he lines up for the Houston Texans opposing teams have to fear what the man might do and respect his talents. However, what they are likely thinking now is that they might not have to prepare for the former Miami Hurricane for too much longer.
Over the last two season Johnson's has missed 10 games due to injuries. Last season he was dogged by hamstring problems throughout the year and was not able to contribute much to the team's most successful season to date. According to reports that have been out in the media today he's going to be out for OTAs and the next few weeks due to recent knee surgery.
Now it wasn't major surgery, but at this point in a pro athlete's career any surgery is cause for concern. A body can only take so much before it loses a step. With the way things have been going for him the last two seasons you almost have to wonder what is going to happen next.
Is last season the beginning of the end for Johnson?
We won't find out till the season starts of course. He could very well do absolutely fine too. Since the Texans did not go after any big name receivers in the draft it looks as if they are thinking he'll be fine. For the sake of Texans fans everywhere, hopefully they are right.

Hell yea
